Bliss is truly Self, one & identical, alone Real.

Give up "my", "mine" & "I" & all is given up. The very seed of possession is lost. Detachment must be very strong to do this. Eagerness to do it must be equal to that of a man kept under water trying to rise up to the surface to save his life.

SUMMARY OF THE TEACHING, REPEATING 1ST THE MAHAVAKYAS, THE GREAT PROCLAMATIONS:

Consciousness is the Absolute Reality.  This Self is the Absolute Reality. That Thou Art.  I am the Absolute Reality.

All is Brahman, the Absolute Reality – also considered a Mahavakya like the 4.

From a false notion of “other”, Ego arises as the false “I” in an “I” –“this” Duality.

Ego is the reference Origin for all dependent Thoughts imagined in a Space of Mind.

Concepts are Thought–constructs that constitute “my” Mind.

Percepts are Thought– images, sounds, feeling, scent, & taste that constitute Sense impressions.

Percepts or Sense impressions constitute a World.

Body is the reference Origin for all other Objects & Experiences imagined in a Space of World.

Mind headquarters in the Body is the Brain; Sense headquarters are the Sense organs located, like the Brain, in the Head, except for Tactile Feeling distributed throughout the Body.

Other objects include the “Others” conceived to exhibit Mind to varying degrees from simpler life-forms to fellow human beings.

From an imagined Birth of the Body to its anticipated Death, the sequence of Waking Dreams constitute a Lifetime.

Until Liberation, succeeding Lifetimes are imagined, like Dreams during Sleep are imagined, aside from Deep Dreamless Sleep.

Liberation, Release, Awakening, Enlightenment, Self-Realization all describe ceasing the Mis-Identification with Ego. Ceasing the Mis-Identification with Mind is a requsite, as is ceasing the Mis-Identification with the Body. Realizing the unreality of the World may or may not precede this sequence & can itself take instead the form that All, including an apparent World, is Brahman the Absolute Reality, one with the Self. Realizing the unreality of the Senses likewise may or may not precede realizing the unreality of the World.

All Meditation resulting in Enlightenment culminates in Self-Inquiry effecting Self-Abidance.

Either of these latter two can comprise the initial Meditation.

Self-Surrender in Non-Dual Devotion to God or Guru is also equivalent dis-identification from Ego.

God is the same Absolute Reality worshipped as Supreme Being.

Guru is the Self, appearing in the Waking (& perhaps nightly) Dreams, guiding the Mind to dissolution in the Self.

Guru guides, & supports by Grace, the Liberation of the apparent Individual which consists of Mis-Identification with Ego, Mind, Body.

Guru, God, the Self, & the Absolute Reality are identical.

Shankara's "Crest JeweI of Discrimination" Viveka chudamani

The Self is All, this perceived World is false, nor is the "I"-sense real. Its momentariness is apparent.
